Greg Keene steps in to chart the future of the organization

FEBRUARY 6, 2017. After 16 years of successful expansion of Celilo Group Media's primary publication, Chinook Book, from a small annual Portland print guide to a 5-state organization with a print and digital audience of over 200,000, co-founder and CEO Nik Blosser will step into a new role as Governor Kate Brown’s Chief of Staff. Longtime company Chief Technology Officer Greg Keene has been appointed to lead the company going forward, and he begins his new role as CEO on February 9th.

An entrepreneur and executive with 20 years experience in high tech, Greg Keene has been co-founder and operator of venture and non-venture start-ups and an employee of a global environmental engineering corporation. For the last 10 years he has worked with Celilo Group Media, first as a strategy & technology consultant and subsequently as CTO where he has managed the development of the Chinook Book mobile app, the first single use coupon system to be delivered on a mobile device. Prior to working with Celilo Group Media, Greg co-founded Qsent, a mobile and contact identity company that received $40M in venture funding before being acquired by TransUnion in 2006. Greg returned to Portland after a 5-year stint in Romania in 2016. He enjoys exploring the natural wonders of Oregon through cycling, skiing and photography.
