There's a vulnerable world out there in need of our protection and action.
As you donate, organize and activate your communities, we invite you to also take time to restore and refresh yourself.
Join us in a 21 day challenge to take action and to take care…of your family, our vulnerable planet, and yourself. Here’s a few little reminders for self care this week ... and a few ways Chinook Book can help you along the way.
Notice the good. When the world feels chaotic and challenging, it can help to refocus on the bright spots. A journal is a great tool to track what’s going right, even as you keep fighting for what needs to change.
Get some sleep. Every hill is easier to climb on a full night’s rest.
If your bedroom is more chaos than oasis of calm, help can be found here.
Reward yourself. After you cross off every action item on the list, give yourself a small reward. It will help you stay motivated for the many many lists still to come.
A reward feels even better when it's fair trade or locally sourced from one of these sustainable boutiques.
Get motivated with music. The soundtracks we listen to set the mood and tone for the day.
Bike beyond your usual boundaries. Your city looks different by bike. Pick a new neighborhood for a family ride and discover new ways of looking at your hometown.
Fuel up. Pre pack some healthy organic snacks and treats so your hunger never distracts you from your mission.
Reconnect with the rainbow. Studies show that coloring (even for adults!) can be a calming and re-centering practice.
