Bastille Cafe & Bar will be hosting their Beaujolais Nouveau party starting at 4:30 PM on Thursday, November 21st. Beaujolais Nouveau always occurs on the third Thursday in November. The wine is made from the Gamay grape, picked by hand, and then fermented (rather quickly) resulting in fresh, fruity wines that are very low in tannins.
In addition to their full wine list, Bastille will have different flights available, from the Cru Beaujolais to the Gang of Four, and even a comparison flight of Burgundy vs. Beaujolais. Chef Jason Stoneburner has prepared Gamay-friendly bites to enjoy while you sip your wine.
Tapas @ $9/each:
Plat Jambon de Bayonne
Salt Cod Croquettes & Espelette Mayo
Grilled Sardines & sauce vert
Beef tartare en croute
Roasted mushrooms & egg yolk
Braised beef cheek braised in Beaujolais
Smoked duck breast & chicories
