Summer has finally arrived after a brutally long and horrendous winter. As you probably know, May is Bike Month here at Chinook Book so the next week or so we're going to be passing along our knowledge of the best places to pump those pedals!
WHAT IS IT?
The Burke-Gilman Trail is the ultimate place in Seattle to get your pedals going. There's a reason why this 30-mile trail is one of the most popular biking routes in Seattle, and that's because it's massive, gorgeous, and practical. If you start in the east, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA, by the time you finish the entire trail, you'll be at the picturesque Ballard Locks on the westernmost edge of Seattle. The whole trail is quite a trek so make sure you take breaks along the way! Fly a kite or have a picnic at Gasworks Park or stop for lunch and a beer at 192 Brewing Company in Kenmore; the possibilities are endless!
WHAT MAKES IT GREAT
A fully separated trail that traverses beautiful water views, forest, and wine country!
